Overview

2.2 Overview of the Board

The PCI video board delivered with Atomix HDMI is a complex piece of

technology. This section provides an overview of the Atomix HDMI

board including a detailed description of the items, switches and con-

nectors present on the PCI video board.

2.2.1 The Different Variants of the Board

The Atomix HDMI board can be delivered in two variants: It can be de-

livered with or without an expansion module mounted on the video

board. With the connectors provided by the expansion module (avail-

able at the slot panel of the board) you can connect the Atomix HDMI

to a breakout box.

This installation guide describes the variant without the expansion

module mounted. However, the two boards are identical in most re-

spects and have to be handled and installed as described in this instal-

lation guide. The only difference is that most connectors present on the

Atomix HDMI board with the expansion module are without function-

ality. They are replaced by connectors at the breakout box. Therefore,

when installing the Atomix HDMI board with the expansion module

mounted, you can disregard the slot panels described in this installation

guide.

2.2.2 Overview of the Component Side

The following provides an overview of the component side of the

Atomix HDMI board, describing all items, switches and connectors on

expansion module
